What are the boarding procedures when I arrive at the airport?

At the airport, unless it has already been done on-line, you have to do the check-in registration at a check-in counter. To see which check-in counter to go to, simply check  one of the monitors located in the airport that displays the information. For each destination it highlights the check in counter where you must go to. Once you reach the assigned check-in counter: present your ID documents (identity card or passport according to destination) and flight ticket (paper or e-ticket) then you will be given a boarding pass. Once checked in, to have access to boarding gates, each passenger must first present identification documents and boarding passes at security gates and proceed through the security control. These are located in the middle of the passenger terminal (opposite the central bar). Once the security control is done, you can access directly the boarding areas where the numbered gates are located. Each departing flight is assigned to a boarding gate to which the passenger must present him/herself within the indicated time in order to board the aircraft. The boarding pass issued at check-in shows the number of the boarding gate assigned to the flight, but it is recommended to check the gate assignment on the monitors placed in the boarding area and pay attention to any announcements made on loud speaker that may inform about a gate change. At the boarding gate you will be asked to show your boarding pass and personal ID.

What are the travelling documents required for my departure?

All passengers must be in possession of a valid travel document: passport or Identity card, accepted in the country of destination.

Each passenger is responsible for:

  • being aware of the documents needed for the trip and for making sure the travel document is valid.
  • Non-valid or damaged documents will not be accepted.
Other documents such as driving licenses, library cards, credit cards, student cards are not official travel documents and cannot be accepted. In conclusion, to travel you need a valid identity document for expatriation and international flights as requested in the country of destination, your air tickets. For flights with a national or international destination we recommend that you check-in 2 hours before the flight departure time. For more information on check-in opening and closing times you can ask the travel agent or the air company.

Where are the check-in areas?

The check-in area is divided into two:

  • Check in A is located on the ground floor in the west area of the main terminal and has 20 counters.
  • Check in B is located in the new building next to the main terminal and has 13 counters. Upon arrival at the airport you can find the number and area of the check-in counter for the flight concerned on the monitors.

The check-in area and counter number will be displayed on-screen 2 hours before departure.
