Pisa Airport Location
- located by the coast, only 1 km from Pisa and can be reached by train and car; it has a large car park area and offers a wide range of transport services. The railway station is situated just outside the passenger terminal and has round the clock daily connections to the entire national railway network.
- It is directly connected to the Florence-Pisa highway (exit Pisa Centro Aeroporto), to the A12 Genova – Rosignano motorway (exit Pisa Centro), to the A11 Firenze – Pisa Nord motorway (through road Pisa Nord connecting to A12 motorway) and to the SS1 Aurelia motorway. Traffic usually flows smoothly.
- The city of Florence is only 80 km away and is easily reached by all means of transport: train, car, and bus lines operating everyday (holidays included).

- On June 1 2007, Delta Air Lines inaugurated a nonstop Pisa-New York passenger flight.
- Since July 3 2005, Alitalia cargo has operated the scheduled cargo flight directly connecting Pisa to New York (once a week), stopped on 15 November 2008 due to Alitalia financial crisis
