The Società Aeroporto Toscano S.p.A. (SAT) Galileo Galilei is the company that runs Pisa’s Airport. SAT manages all airport activities and is responsible for the planning and financing of Galileo Galilei’s development in terms of air traffic, infrastructures and passenger services. SAT’s balances have always been on the profit side since 1995, while passenger traffic has seen a steady increase since 1997.

In the same period SAT’s investments in equipment and infrastructures have considerably developed both the Aviation and the Non Aviation business areas. These important management results have been obtained in a completely deregulated aeronautical scenario in which airport management companies have been obliged to vie with an increasingly aggressive competition and to pursue the primary objective of attracting new customers and building customer loyalty (Traffic Building) by providing innovative and high-quality services.
